The authors

Three operators, three lanes, one framework. Combined: 50+ years building, scaling, and operating things at Google, in fintech, and across global enterprises.

Ioana Codoban, PhD
The strategist–academic voice

Strategist and PhD researcher developing frameworks on innovation systems and AI adoption strategy.

Ioana Codoban, PhD, is a strategist and innovator with deep expertise in scaling organizations through technology, data, and human-centered design. Over the past two decades, she has partnered with C-suite leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to transform how organizations grow in the digital era.

Building on her work in scaling execution, she is now developing new frameworks on innovation systems and strategy for AI adoption. Within The Scale Imperative author team, she is the master-narrative custodian — owning editorial approval over press copy and major campaign messaging — and the primary contact for Tier-1 bylined-article pitches and academic partnerships.

She is the natural lead for the framework-as-vocabulary work: the teaching cases, the business-school adoptions, the long-form essays that move the conversation. Romanian roots; her father, Professor Aurel Teodor Codoban, was the book's first reader and concept proofer.

Andreas Huebner
The builder turned AI operator

Building agentic AI systems in financial risk management. Pursuing a Master's in AI focused on agentic AI and fintech.

Andreas Huebner spent 15 years at Google, where he excelled at driving scale by merging business excellence with technical infrastructure. He was a key figure in establishing a scaled, multi-functional sales framework across the organization and successfully led numerous projects that significantly improved service efficiency through AI.

Leveraging this deep operations background, Andreas transitioned to a career in financial risk management. He is currently advancing his knowledge by pursuing a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, with a specific focus on Agentic AI and Fintech.

Within The Scale Imperative author team, Andreas is the only co-author currently building with AI rather than only writing about it. He owns the AI and agentic-systems lane, the DACH market, the bi-weekly newsletter, and the meta-story of using AI to scale the book launch itself.

Rahul Jindal
The scaling practitioner

Rebuilding Google's People Operations for the AI era. Designing AI Workbenches, agentified workflows, and assurance Watchtowers.

Rahul Jindal is rebuilding Google's People Operations for the AI era. He leads a three-part AI strategy for functional transformation: Persona Workbenches that change how individual roles are performed, Agentified Workflows that take repeatable end-to-end processes off humans, and Assurance Watchtowers that catch errors in sensitive workflows before they become a problem.

He is a Director of Strategy, Transformation, Automation, Content and Knowledge in People Operations at Google and Global Director of AI Garage. Previously, he spent about 11 years setting up new teams and capabilities to transform Google's Ads Operations.

Rahul has more than 22 years of experience across industry verticals, functions, and regions, focused on setting up and transforming business functions, and he enjoys the challenges in the 0-1 and 1-1,000 stages of business building. Within The Scale Imperative author team, he leads the operator network, enterprise bulk sales, and the India market.
